Zweiter Augen-Outreach-Einsatz im Dei-Distrikt, Papua-Neuguinea

Beim einwöchigen Outreach-Camp für Katarakt-OPs im Dei-Distrikt konnte das portable Mikroskop von Dr. Wahamu erneut nützlich eingesetzt werden.

Dr. Wahamu schreibt: „I just completed a week Eye Surgical Out-Reach in Dei-District of Western Highlands Province and I am back now in Mt.Hagen. …we had only three operating days.  We operated a total of 50 cataract patients in those three days. …

… Three of the patients were permanently  blind on the other eye due to past eye injuries and have been with very poor vision on the other fellow due to age related Cataract for more than 10 years until the sight restoring cataract surgeries were done on them during the Day 1 of our operations. They all have seeing eyes now with their only eye. They were so happy indeed. Thank you indeed!!!“
